Skin delivery R&D support · Hong Kong

Move the next skin-delivery decision forward.

LumiMicro provides project-scoped support for microneedles, IVRT and IVPT, topical formulations, patches and hydrogel patches—from early feasibility questions to defined materials, research work, samples and technical handover.

Begin with a non-confidential question. Availability, methods, study site, quality arrangements and responsible parties are confirmed for each project.

Select one service or connect several. Each enquiry is reviewed for scientific fit, practical delivery route, documentation and responsibility before scope is confirmed.

02Modular study support

IVRT & IVPT Support

Project-based support covering research-use pig-ear skin and IVRT materials, agreed wet-lab work, ready-to-test sample preparation, and optional analytical or reporting support.

  • Materials, membranes and study consumables
  • IVRT / IVPT wet-lab work by agreed scope
  • Labelled receptor, membrane or skin samples
  • Optional analysis and report support
Discuss IVRT / IVPT See the four IVRT / IVPT modules
03Early formulation route

Topical Formulation & Prototype Studies

Modular support from product-goal definition and material screening to formulation comparison, research-scale prototypes, selected performance studies and the next evidence-based step.

  • Product goal and feasibility
  • Materials, excipients and vehicle screening
  • Research-scale prototype preparation
  • Selected performance and delivery support
Discuss topical formulation See the six formulation modules
04Patch concepts

Patches & Hydrogel Patches

Early-stage support for patch and hydrogel-patch concepts, including matrix feasibility, research-scale prototypes, selected physical or performance checks and external-development preparation.

  • Matrix, adhesive and excipient feasibility
  • Coating, forming, drying or crosslinking studies
  • Research-scale prototypes and characterisation
  • Optional release or skin-delivery studies

Application focus · Companion animal health

Veterinary dermatology and topical product development.

LumiMicro helps companion-animal product teams connect dosage-form choices with the evidence needed for the next development decision. A project may combine topical formulation and research-scale prototypes, patches or microneedles, IVRT / IVPT and skin-delivery support, and preparation for responsible external studies.

01

Define the product route

Clarify the target species, application site, delivery goal, use conditions and the most practical dosage form.

Ointment · cream · gel · spray · patch · microneedle
02

Develop early formulations

Scope project-specific formulation, process, comparison and research-scale prototype work.

Vehicles · matrices · process feasibility · prototype handover
03

Build skin-delivery evidence

Combine IVRT, IVPT, permeation, skin-retention or sample-handover modules using an agreed research model.

Model relevance, limitations, site and responsibility are stated
04

Prepare the next external study

Turn the product question, samples and evidence into a study brief, provider questions or interpretation package.

How we work

A small, defined project before a larger commitment.

The goal is not to order the longest list of tests. It is to define the smallest useful scope that can support the next responsible development decision.

  1. 01

    Share a non-confidential need

Tell us what you have, what remains uncertain and what you want to receive.

  2. 02

    Confirm scope and responsibilities

Agree modules, materials, outputs, study or analysis route, timing and responsible parties.

  3. 03

    Run, coordinate and hand over

Complete only the agreed scope and deliver the defined materials, samples, data or report support.

Delivery is defined per project.

Work may be led by LumiMicro, coordinated with an identified laboratory, or delivered through a suitable specialist provider. The proposal and contract identify the actual route; another organisation's facilities or qualifications are never presented as LumiMicro's own.

About LumiMicro

Founder-led, with nearly three decades in skin delivery.

LumiMicro Life Sciences Limited is a Hong Kong-based company supporting product teams, investors and research groups working on topical, transdermal and microneedle delivery questions. The founder has worked on topical and transdermal delivery for nearly three decades.

That work spans ointments, creams and gels; patches and hydrogel patches; dissolving microneedle formulation and process feasibility; IVPT and skin layer separation; veterinary topical formulation and process development; study designs prepared for registration-directed programmes; and technical due diligence on early-stage products.

A contract laboratory will run the study you specify. The harder questions usually come earlier: whether that study is the right one, what its result can and cannot support, and what to do when the standard method does not answer your question. LumiMicro works from the physical principles of skin transport rather than from a guideline template—and, where the established route falls short, designs the method or the research-scale tooling that does.

Regulated studies, clinical work and regulatory submissions are performed or reviewed by appropriately qualified providers. LumiMicro’s role is the decision, the design and the interpretation around them.

Discuss a project

Start with a short, non-confidential brief.

Tell us what you already have, what the next work should help you decide and what type of output you need. We will review the likely service route before requesting sensitive materials.

Do not submit complete formulations, unpublished manuscripts, patient, student or animal-level information, patent concepts, proprietary drawings, raw data, contracts or third-party confidential material.

No file upload. Project availability and timing are confirmed after review.
